"The doctor of the future will give no medicine but will interest his patients in the care of the human frame, in diet, and in the cause and prevention of dis-ease."

-Thomas Edison

Q: What is Chiropractic?

A: Chiropractic is the world's largest natural healing art. The premise or foundation of chiropractic is that the vertebrae of the spine, if misaligned, impinges the spinal cord or the nerves that emit from the spine. Those nerves branch out to control the organs, muscles, joints, and tissues. When a nerve is facilitated (pinched, twisted, or stretched) it's like putting your foot on a garden hose - the water flow is reduced.
A chiropractic adjustment (both manual or instrument treatment) is made to realign the vertebrae of the spine and thus help the body's health to be restored without drugs and/or surgery.

Q: What are new patients' four main questions when they first come in?

  1. What's wrong with me?
  2. Can you help me?
  3. How long will it take?
  4. How much will it cost?

Dr. Hagen and his staff are devoted to helping answer these four questions. Every case is individual and distinct, so the answers vary from patient to patient. If we do not feel that chiropractic methods will help you, we'll tell you and refer you to the specialist you need. We will respect your time, money, and health concerns.

Q: Once my health is regained, how do I stay healthy?

A: When a patient gets to this point, Dr. Hagen gives the option to come in on an "as needed" basis, or choose to come in for periodic maintenance adjustments. You don't drive your car until the oil light comes on do you? More than likely you properly maintain your car so it doesn't fall apart. Likewise, we recommend maintenance care.
In addition to this, we may suggest dietary changes, drinking plenty of water, getting good rest, reducing stress, exercise, staying positive and maintaining a good spiritual life.
